This policy explains what Somni Tales — a service of Somni Technologies, LLC (“we”, “us”) — collects when you use the service, and how we use it.
We use a single, strictly necessary cookie: it keeps you signed in to your account. Your reading preferences (such as text size, narration speed and language) are stored in your browser's local storage and never leave your device. We do not use advertising, analytics or any other third-party cookies, which is why you won't see a cookie banner here.
We send service emails (confirming your address, resetting a password, purchase receipts) and an occasional reminder if you leave a story unfinished. Every reminder includes a one-click unsubscribe link, and opting out never affects your account or your Somni Coins.
We do not sell your personal data or use it for third-party advertising.
We share data only with the providers needed to run the service, and where required by law: our payment processor (Stripe), our AI model provider (to generate prose and narration from your inputs, for that purpose only), our email delivery provider, and our hosting provider. These providers process data in the United States; if you use Somni Tales from outside the US, your data is transferred to and processed in the US under our providers' standard data-protection safeguards.
We keep your data for as long as your account is active. You can request access to, or deletion of, your data at any time — see Contact.
Delete your account & data. You can permanently delete your account (email, Somni Coin balance and saved stories) yourself at any time: Delete your account. This removes all your personal data from Somni Tales; records of past payments are held by our payment providers for legal and accounting reasons.
The service is not directed to children under 13 (or the age required in your region).
We may update this policy; material changes will be noted here with a new date.
